My story
I didn’t grow up expecting to become a medium and I certainly didn’t plan a career around spirituality.
But looking back, I always knew there was something different. There were feelings and experiences I couldn’t always explain, but for many years I simply got on with my life.
Then, when I was 36, everything changed.
I experienced a profound spiritual awakening. My awareness seemed to open and I began experiencing Spirit in ways that were impossible for me to ignore.
I started to see. I started to hear. I started to feel. And sometimes I simply knew things without understanding how I could possibly know them.
Initially, I had to understand what was happening to me. Over time, I learned not to fear the experiences but to understand them. I began developing my ability and learning to trust what I was receiving.
That eventually led to me reading for other people.
Sixteen years on — and still grounded
Today, more than sixteen years later, mediumship has become an important part of my life. But it hasn’t changed who I am.
I still work full-time in business. I still have the same responsibilities and pressures of everyday life as everybody else. Perhaps that is part of what keeps my approach to mediumship so grounded.
I don’t believe I have all the answers. I don’t believe being a medium makes somebody more important or more spiritual than anybody else.
I simply have an ability that allows me to perceive things in a way that I once couldn’t understand. And if that ability can bring somebody comfort, reassurance, understanding or even simply a moment that reminds them of somebody they loved, then I believe it should be used positively.
A different kind of medium
People are sometimes surprised when they meet me. I don’t necessarily fit the image they had in their head of what a medium should be.
That’s fine with me.
I don’t believe mediumship needs to involve theatre or exaggerated claims. My professional background has made me naturally practical, straightforward and questioning. I bring that same attitude to my spiritual work.
If I receive something, I will tell you. If I don’t understand something, I will tell you. And if I don’t receive something, I won’t invent it.
That is the way I believe mediumship should be.
